There's Loads of Fun for Everyone at Lone Pine Campsites in 2010!
At Lone Pine Campsites we know that you don't have to be a youngster to have a good time! That's why we offer a wide variety of activities for both the young and the young at heart throughout our camping season. To see a detailed calendar of what's in store for 2010, click here. Read on for a preview of what we have planned!
Weekly Campground Activities
- Bingo every Friday night at 7:30 PM (May 28th - September 3rd, U.S. currency only).
- Take a ride on the Lone Pine fire truck every weekend (May 29th - August 14th)!

A variety of sports are available every day to campers, including tennis, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, and shuffleboard. Visit the camp store to borrow equipment, and be sure to have some fun at our Video Game Room (open every day during store hours).
May
May 1st marks the opening of Lone Pine's 2010 season!
Bring your favorite dish and join us May 15th for the Welcome Back Potluck, the first big get-together of the year. Earlier in the month we'll celebrate Mother's Day with a hearty breakfast in honor of our moms and will enjoy Memorial Day weekend with extra games for kids, a flea market, and a holiday dance. Be sure not to miss Karaoke with Steve LeClair on the 29th!
June
If Dad is jealous of all the special treatment Mom received in May, June is a great time to visit Lone Pine. For Father's Day weekend we will host a delicious continental breakfast on Sunday morning. June is also a big month for all of you RV, camper, and car lovers--don't miss the Vermont Country Campers Show the weekend of June 11th and the annual Lone Pine Car Show the weekend of the 18th, complete with live music by Slipped Disk!
July
July is an action-packed month full of fun activities, special events, and favorite traditions. Join us for Independence Day weekend when kids march in their own parade, led by Master and Miss Lone Pine (interested in leading the royal procession? Sign up in the store!), and everybody lets loose with live music performed by The Adams at the Sunday night holiday dance.
Since we don't see each other during the winter holidays, the Lone Pine community also celebrates Christmas in July during the weekend of the 9th, complete with a children's Christmas party and a visit from Santa.
Be sure not to miss Nascar Weekend, when we watch the race on the big screen (July 11th).
August
Things really start heating up in August, with the kick-off of the annual Lone Pine Junior Olympics.
Kids ages 5-16 are encouraged to compete in a variety of games, with an evening dessert potluck that evening. Halloween weekend is August 13th and 14th, and gives young campers an opportunity to dress their spookiest and go trick-or-treating and have a party!
Also, be sure not to miss all of the fun of the Champlain Valley Fair, held only minutes away at Champlain Valley Exposition starting the 27th.
September
As the leaves begin to turn in Lake Champlain Valley, we at Lone Pine get ready to say "so long" until next season. Before we close on October 15th, however, we host a number of events and activities that aren't too be missed. Labor Day weekend is the last big dance of the season (September 5th), with live music by The Adams. To celebrate the end of another great season, we'll enjoy a final potluck together during Thanksgiving Harvest weekend, so bring your favorite dish!
October
The last day for camping this season is October 15th.
